Comedy Therapy

Due to her life experience she has learned that comedy was her tool to deal with it better.

She holds true to the motto of "time + tragedy = comedy"

She has found that applying certain games of IMPROV can provide tools to better deal with any problem that life throws your way.

She has been asked to do many conferences from Rome to USA to share her tips.

Brief guide to my IMPROV rules that can be used in everyday life:

1. agree to play –

…You allow yourself to experience something new because you agreed to. Just like injecting deseferal. You agree to want to live longer and healthier

2. let go of control- When you play you cant control the other players and go with the flow. The same thing with a hospital situation. It is fucking scary what we see and hear all the time BUT we have no control over it. We can only

3. listen and be in the moment

When we play, we let go of control and listen. In our Thal lives we have to agree to go get care, we cant control the illness and we gotta listen and be in the moment.

4. say yes and ‘and’

If there is no “yes and”…there is no going forward. As patients we want to go forward … So remember at the hospital when the doctor or nurse is telling you something new in your care…yes and!

5. relax and have fun

So, exactly as the silly expression says, turn that frown upside because it makes you feel better and try to implent the improve rules to dealing with everyday life of this chronic illness.
